Websites to try for animal research:
National Geographic Kids Check the list for your animal. Can't find it? Try searching the National Geographic Animals site - it's a little harder to read, so let Ms. Mernick or Ms. Collins know if you need help. San Diego Zoo animals site Look for animals by type, or search the full list. Kids Planet Look for your animal on the list of fact sheets. They are organized by continent, so you might find your animal in more than one place. Zoo Books Search for your animal by the first letter of its name. Animal Planet Find your animal on the A to Z lists by animal type, or use the search box at the top. See Ms. Mernick for print books and a list of eBooks for your animal. Start with these sites to find information on your country: Briannica Online - Middle School Edition Search for your country, or use the World Atlas section in the Features box. Student Resource Center - Junior Search for your country and look on the Reference tab for other encyclopedia articles. Also check the Multimedia tab for flags, maps, photos, and more. Yahoo! Kids World Factbook Check here for information on your country's economy, government, and resources in particular. UPDATE: CIA World Factbook Visit this site for lots of great information. Just find your country on the drop-down menu on the upper right portion of the page. Here are the documents Mrs. Kobs provided for this assignment:
