Now we're going to learn about amazing women who deserve to be honored. If we were able to pick one woman to be celebrated with a federal holiday, who would you pick? A scientist? A writer? A politician? A teacher? An artist? An athlete? Someone who helped people? There are so many great choices! You will pick one woman who stands out to you and explain why you think she should be honored.
First, figure out who you want to pick. You might need to read about a few people before someone really inspires you. Here are some places to look for ideas about important women in our history:
